Defining the Zone
Have you ever experienced being in a state of effortless effort? Elite performers and athletes call this state the zone, and to get in it they often say, “I got out of my way, I stopped thinking.”
The zone is defined as the state of being when you function optimally, your body and mind are inseparable, any activity you do is effortless and timeless, and you function without conscious oversight.
In the zone, you can make split second decisions or instantly react to anything. Your mind is porous, ready to allow new ideas to enter. Your awareness encompasses everything around you such that you are always ready.
Most of us experience the zone through some magic within ourselves that is rarely of our choosing, it just happens. Wouldn't you like to know how to get in the zone any time you choose?
Identifying The Zone Brain
Researchers have identified two areas of the brain that reflect being in the zone state. One is alpha waves that reflect a meditative, focused state and beta waves that reflect extreme relaxation.
This is really cool, but how does one get into these states? The video does not show you how the archers get into the brain zone. However, the NeuroElements approach does offer concrete, practical ways to help you get in the zone on demand.
Getting Into The Brain Zone
NeuroElements facilitates you becoming ready for action (the beta state) by showing you how to eliminate all distractions from your brain. Distractions consist of what you feel, such as discomfort, soreness, pain, fatigue, stiffness and so on. When your mind is not distracted it is free to focus on the task, activity, or function at hand (the alpha state). By eliminating the distractions you are naturally reducing limitations in functionality so that when you do get in the zone you are simultaneously functioning optimally.
Rather than making the zone a rare exception, learn how you can get in the zone on demand, and at the same time improve how you function to reach your full potential.
