Differentiate The Head
Most of us don't think about the head moving separately from the neck, but the head sits on an axis bone that allows it to move independently of the neck and spine. The head is quite heavy and if it does not balance on top of the spine, much like a ball on the end of a cue stick, then it throws the entire body out of balance.
Learning how to differentiate the head from the spine so that it moves freely on its axis enhances balance and every activity you do. Plus it is a lot less effort and you avoid neck and shoulder problems.
